Abstract

The purpose of this study is to answer the problem of the influence of training and development on employee performance through technical skills and work based on employee tupoxy in Bappelitbangda, South Sulawesi Province directly or indirectly. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, a research sample of 126 employees of Bappelitbangda South Sulawesi Province. The instrument uses a questionnaire. The path analysis method and the online Sobel test to calculate the indirect influence of independent and bound variables through mediating variables. The results of the study: (1) Training and development have a positive and significant effect directly on the technical skills of Bappelitbangda employees (2) Training and development have a positive and significant effect directly on the tupoxy-based work of Bappelitbangda employees (3) Training and development have a positive and significant effect directly on the performance of Bappelitbangda employees (4) Technical skills have a positive and significant effect directly on the performance of Bappelitbangda employees. (5) Tupeksi-based work has a positive and significant effect directly on the performance of Bappelitbangda employees (6) Training and development have a positive and significant indirect effect on performance through the technical skills of Bappelitbangda employees 7) Training and development have a positive and significant indirect effect on performance through tupoci-based work of Bappelitbangda employees of South Sulawesi Province.
