Community Empowerment As Effort to Strengthening the SME Capacity

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the development of small medium enterprises of Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province by approach of innovation and implementation of local government. Study analysis uses qualitative data based on time series data from 2014 – 2019 and compare between total SME activity and percentage of growth. The result of this study shows the efforts of the Gowa Regency Trade and Industry Office in empowering to increase the capacity of SME, namely by providing facilitation to the community, facilitation supplied in the form of socialization, training, provision of facilities and infrastructure in increasing SME productivity and SME facilitation for banks or non-bank financial institutions to support SME productivity and sustainability
